Summary: The IT Service Desk Technician role involves providing support in a busy, customer-facing environment for a public sector client in Dundee. The position is a 9-month contract requiring on-site presence twice a week, focusing on incident management and troubleshooting various IT systems and software. Candidates should have experience with ITIL standards and a strong ability to communicate technical issues to non-technical staff.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage incidents, service requests, problems, and assets using a Service Desk tool.
- Support common office software and systems including Microsoft Windows 10/11, Azure Services, and Office 365.
- Troubleshoot and resolve IT hardware problems.
- Work collaboratively with the IT team to improve service delivery.
- Plan and deliver workload to meet IT service level agreements.
Key Skills:
- Experience in a customer-facing IT Service Desk environment.
- Knowledge of ITIL standards.
- Excellent communication skills.
