Summary: The role is for a 2nd Line IT Support Contractor based in York, requiring full-time commitment of 5 days a week from 8:30 am to 5 pm. Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide 2nd-line IT support
  • Deploy and image PCs/workstations (Windows 10/11, macOS)
  • Install and configure operating systems
  • Troubleshoot hardware issues (desktops, laptops, monitors, docking stations, printers)
  • Set up and configure peripherals (monitors, keyboards/mice)
  • Perform basic networking tasks (LAN/Wi-Fi troubleshooting, Active Directory)
  • Utilize remote access tools (TeamViewer, Microsoft Remote Desktop)
  • Deploy software using imaging tools (SCCM, JAMF)
  • Manage tickets using Jira Service Management
  • Track assets and inventory (CMDB, SCCM, JAMF)
  • Provide end-user support and documentation
  • Configure/manage mobile devices (iPads, tablets, smartphones - optional)

Your new role

Looking for an immediately available 2nd Line IT Support Contractor who can commit to working 5 days per week in our client's York office.

What you'll need to succeed

The core skills and experience required include:

  • 2nd-line IT support experience
  • PC / workstation deployment and imaging (Windows 10/11, macOS)
