Summary: The role is for an experienced 2nd Line IT Contractor to support a busy IT Helpdesk in a multi-site business environment. The position is a 3-month contract with hybrid working arrangements, requiring strong troubleshooting skills and customer service abilities. Key Responsibilities:
- Provide 2nd Line IT support on a busy IT Helpdesk.
- Troubleshoot and support various hardware including laptops, desktops, and mobile devices.
- Manage user and group administration tasks in Active Directory and Azure Active Directory.
- Support M365 services such as Teams, SharePoint, and One Drive.
- Ensure outstanding customer service and effective communication under pressure.
Key Skills:
- Extensive knowledge of troubleshooting hardware.
- Strong experience with Windows 11 in on-premise and cloud environments.
- Active Directory and Azure Active Directory proficiency.
- Experience with Microsoft Intune.
- Understanding of TCP/IP Networking, DNS, and DHCP.
- Experience in an ITIL-based environment.
- Outstanding customer service and communication skills.

Your new role
My client is looking to hire an experienced 2nd Line IT Contractor who has experience of working on a busy IT Helpdesk. The contract role would suit a candidate who has previously supported a multi-site business and is adept at prioritising and escalating IT issues efficiently.
What you'll need to succeed
2nd Line IT Candidates who have the following skills and experience would be ideal:
- Extensive knowledge of troubleshooting and supporting various hardware (Laptops, Desktops, Mobile Devices)
- Strong experience with Windows 11 (On-Premise Domain & Cloud Integrated Environments)
- Active Directory knowledge & also Azure Active Directory - proficient in User and Group Admin Tasks
- Microsoft Intune
- Understanding of TCP/IP Networking, DNS & DHCP.
- ITIL based environment experience would be ideal.
- Experience of supporting M365 Services (Teams, SharePoint and One Drive)
- Outstanding Customer Service skills.
- Excellent communication skills and performs well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
