Key Responsibilities:

  • Review existing Disaster Recovery/Resilience plans and provide insights into cloud-specific areas.
  • Create a knowledge base on Azure specifics related to IT Service Continuity Management (ITSCM).
  • Develop comprehensive plans and assist with testing related to Azure migrations.
  • Support the ITSCM team during the migration of applications from on-premise to Azure cloud.

Key Skills:

  • Strong Azure knowledge and previous experience working on Azure migrations.
  • Azure Resilience experience.

Akkodis are partnering with a highly reputable company in the Insurance/Financial Services sector on the expansion of their Business/Service Continuity team. Our client is embarking on a large-scale transformation programme which involves the migration of multiple applications from on-premise to the cloud (Azure) as well as moving away from their physical data centres. The ITSCM team are in the process of creating detailed Disaster Recover/Resiliency plans in preparation for this migration and are now looking for additional support as they move forward.


Our client is looking for an experienced IT Service Continuity professional with a proven background supporting clients with large scale Azure migrations. You will support the team by reviewing existing DR/Resilience plans and providing insight into cloud specific areas that the team have not considered. You will create a knowledge base on Azure specifics related to ITSCM and be hands-on in creating comprehensive plans and assisting with testing. We require someone who is highly knowledgeable with Azure and has a broad background in ITSCM.


The successful candidate will have the following experience:



  • Essential Skills:
    - Experienced IT Service Continuity professional
    - Strong Azure knowledge and previous experience working on an Azure migration
    - Azure Resilience experience
    - Broad knowledge of relevant resilience regulations

  • Desirable skills
    - Previous experience creating a knowledge base
    - Regulated environment experience


This is an exciting opportunity for someone to work within an established team on a complex programme and really add value in helping recommend and implement ideas of different approaches to their Resiliency plans as they move into an Azure environment.


This is an initial 6-month contract with a high possibility of extension. The client's preference is to have somebody onsite in Warwickshire 1-2 times a month, but they may consider fully remote options for the right candidate. The role has been deemed inside IR35.
