Summary: The IT Service Continuity Analyst / Planner will be responsible for developing and executing IT Service Continuity Management activities at TSB. This role requires expertise in disaster recovery processes and compliance with internal and external policies. The position involves flexible working hours, including weekends and overnight shifts, to accommodate disaster recovery testing. The successful candidate will contribute to TSB's transformation in delivering enhanced banking services through technology.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute IT Service Continuity Management (ITSCM) activities.
- Ensure compliance with internal and external policies regarding disaster recovery and service continuity.
- Plan and analyze complex disaster recovery exercises.
- Maintain and update disaster recovery plans using strong Microsoft Excel skills.
- Conduct post-event reporting and follow up on issues until resolution.
- Work flexible hours to support disaster recovery testing during maintenance windows.
Key Skills:
- Solid understanding of disaster recovery processes and controls.
- ITIL certification preferred.

How You’ll Make a Difference
You’ll be responsible for the development and execution of IT Service Continuity Management (ITSCM) activities at TSB. Ideally, you’ll already work in the disaster recovery / service continuity area and be well aware of the challenges and complexities. This is a critical role to ensure we are compliant with both internal and external (regulators/schemes) policies and procedures around regular testing and proving of resilience capabilities.
What You’ll Bring
A IT Service Continuity professional with solid and demonstrable understanding of Disaster Recovery processes and controls, typical standards, and policies. Ideally, ITIL certified. Previous experience of planning/analysing complex service/application/platform related disaster recover exercise(s). Full end-to-end proving, mitigating risks and ensuring right outcomes. In-depth strong understanding of IT Platforms and Infrastructure. Disaster Recovery methodology – Storage / DNS / VMware / Databases / Cloud..etc
This role involves working weekends and overnight to accommodate the DR testing during maintenance windows – so applicant needs to be flexible around working hours / patterns. Occasionally exercises are arranged at pace and have to be supported due to business needs. Strong Microsoft Excel Skills required for this role – to maintain plans, relationships/dependencies, pivot tables, heat maps…etc.
Plan Testing – ability to plan, organise, and execute technical recovery plans through planned controlled Events allowing business areas to test the suitability of the IT Service Continuity / Disaster Recovery capability. Ability to work on own initiative, multi-task, identify areas of focus and adapt to changing priorities.
Post Event Reporting – ability to write reports ensuring all issues have been captured, thoroughly investigated to understand root cause and recommended actions documented with owners and due dates. Continue to follow-up these reports until all issues have been completely resolved. Ensure risks raised and tracked for any pending issues.
