Summary: The role of IT Project Manager focuses on implementing warehouse automation software for a leading Retail/FMCG client. The successful candidate will manage both internal and third-party technical resources while demonstrating strong project management skills and experience in automation projects. This position is hybrid, combining remote work with on-site responsibilities in Staffordshire, and is part of a multi-year project with an initial six-month contract.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage internal and third-party technical resources for warehouse automation projects.
  • Demonstrate core IT project management skills throughout the software life-cycle.
  • Implement automation software and robotics with a focus on supply chain knowledge.
  • Manage project plans, report on critical paths, and oversee project finances.
  • Maintain a strong delivery mindset and focus on project outcomes.

Our market leading Retail / FMCG client has a current need for an IT Project Manager with specific experience of implementing warehouse automation software. The successful candidate will be managing both internal and third-party technical resource.The successful candidate will need to be able to demonstrate strong skills and experience with:

  • Core IT Project Management skills set (Software life-cycle)
  • Prior experience of multiple warehouse automation project, implementing automation software and robotics, supply chain knowledge
  • Management of project plan, reporting critical path, and finances
  • Resource management of both internal and third party resource
  • Strong delivery mindset and focus

Hybrid role - Remote / Staffordshire

6 month initial contract, multi-year project

£600 - 650/day via umbrella solution
