Summary: The IT Project Manager role focuses on delivering a portfolio of projects related to infrastructure, telephony, and Azure over a 3-6 month period. Key Responsibilities:
- Creation of project proposals and/or business cases for technical projects in conjunction with IT/Tech Business Stakeholders.
- Develop and deliver a rolling programme/workstack for agreed technical projects, providing an ongoing forward view of required change.
- Own the production of detailed project plans, providing project reporting and appropriate documentation.
- Conduct capacity planning and resource modelling to inform sequencing and accurately forecast demand for different skillsets.
- Contract management of services provided by third parties to strict KPIs.
- Provide effective planning, control, and monitoring of the project budget, including resource utilisation and external costs.
Key Skills:
- Previous experience managing a small portfolio of multiple IT projects.
- Experience with telephony, infrastructure, and application projects.
- Extensive knowledge of Cloud Azure, IaaS, and SaaS.
- Sound foundational knowledge of IT infrastructure, architecture, application upgrades, and cloud releases.
- Considerable experience managing and contracting cloud-based service providers, data centre providers, and telecoms providers.
- Ability to communicate effectively in both technical and non-technical terms.
- Excellent contract management skills.
- Experience in demand management and forecasting.
- Ability to produce clear and concise project plans, reports, and documentation.
- Proficient in delivery and collaboration tools (e.g., DevOps, SharePoint, MS Teams, Asana).

IT Project Manager (Infrastructure, Telephony, Azure) 3-6 Months Lancashire (1-2 days onsite) £525 a day (Inside IR35) I am currently looking for a hands-on IT Project Manager to deliver a small portfolio of projects. Candidates must be used to working in a fast-paced setting, be proficient at putting together concise project plans and have previously been involved in discovery projects and programmes. Candidates should have extensive third-party supplier / vendor management and have a strong understanding of horizon scanning and demand planning / forecasting.
- Duties
