IT Project Manager (SC Cleared)

Summary: The IT Project Manager role involves leading the delivery of a new capability within a secure environment for a globally respected client in Bristol. The position requires SC Clearance or eligibility for it, focusing on project governance, stakeholder management, and collaboration with cross-functional teams. The contract is for 12 months, with a hybrid working arrangement of 2-3 days on-site each week.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the delivery of a new capability involving requirements definition, design, implementation planning, and service testing.
• Own the full project life cycle from requirements gathering and planning through to delivery and implementation.
• Establish and maintain strong relationships with internal customer counterparts and cross-functional teams.
• Ensure robust project governance, including risk management, financial oversight, and status reporting.
• Manage and maintain detailed project documentation including project plans, reports, RAID logs, and design artefacts.
• Support the development and delivery of secure, compliant solutions with consideration for cyber controls and secure-by-design principles.
• Collaborate with other Programme Managers to ensure alignment with broader programme objectives.
• Attend and lead project-related meetings, capturing actions and tracking progress against milestones.
• Contribute to testing and service readiness planning for new capability deployment.

Key Skills:

• Active SC Clearance is highly desirable.
• Proven experience in IT project management, ideally in defence, government, or similarly secure environments.
• Strong knowledge of project governance frameworks and documentation standards.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Familiarity with cyber controls, secure-by-design principles, or similar security-focused delivery approaches.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while coordinating multiple teams and deliverables.
