IT Project Manager

Summary: Our client, a global consulting firm, is seeking a Project Manager for a contract role in the Insurance sector. The position requires proven experience in delivering IT/software projects and managing multiple workstreams. The contract is initially for 5 months, with a requirement for one day per week onsite in York. The role is classified as inside IR35 and offers a competitive daily rate.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver IT/software projects end-to-end.
• Manage multiple concurrent projects or workstreams.
• Oversee project governance, risk, budget, and resource management.
• Drive business change and process improvements.
• Manage third-party vendors and cross-functional teams.
• Communicate effectively with stakeholders.

Key Skills:

• Proven experience delivering IT/software projects end-to-end.
• Experience managing multiple concurrent projects or workstreams.
• Strong knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
• Experience with Agile, Waterfall or hybrid delivery methodologies.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Strong project governance, risk, budget and resource management experience.
• Experience delivering business change and driving process improvements.
• Ability to manage third-party vendors and cross-functional teams.
