Summary: The IT Project Manager role involves managing multiple concurrent IT projects within the tunnelling construction sector for STRABAG. Key Responsibilities:

  • Project manage multiple concurrent IT projects and coordinate relevant activities in a workstream.
  • Set up new capabilities for large civil engineering projects, procure new systems, and integrate them with existing core systems.
  • Manage IT project risks and mitigation activities.
  • Coordinate the transition from service delivery to operations regarding incident management, knowledge, asset management, and training.
  • Manage procurement and scoping efforts, aligning with project and divisional aims.
  • Regularly report on progress, risks, and performance of subcontractors and system owners.
  • Coordinate with BMO/Digital & Data and central BRVZ IT and SID as required.
  • Contribute to pre-bid/post-bid responses supporting cross-functional teams.
  • Travel to offices throughout the UK for workshops, including overnight stays as necessary.
  • Perform ad hoc activities as deemed appropriate by the IT Director.

If you are an ambitious IT Project Manager looking for a new 6 month contract role in tunnelling construction and would like to help shape future of STRABAG, then please read the below job description.

Your contribution to our company:

  • Project manage multiple concurrent IT Projects and coordination of all relevant activities in a workstream setting up new capabilities for large civil engineering projects, procuring new systems and integrating them with existing core systems or co-ordinating change requests to core group systems.
  • Example related systems include: BIM/Common Data Environments, contractor communication, environmental monitoring, data reporting.
  • Manage IT project risks and their mitigation activities.
  • Coordinate the transition from service delivery to operations in terms of incident management, knowledge, asset management and training.
  • Manage the procurement and scoping effort, taking cognisance of both project and Divisional aims.
  • Regular reporting on progress, risks and subcontractor and system owner’s performance.
  • Meet goals and deadlines.
  • Coordinate with BMO/Digital & Data and central BRVZ IT and SID as required.
  • Contribute to pre-bid/post-bid responses – supporting cross-functional teams to prepare robust responses that help to win deals alongside Digital Business Partner, Solution Architect as required.
  • Travel to offices throughout the UK (overnight stays may be required) to manage workshops.
  • Ad hoc activities as deemed appropriate by the IT Director.
