Summary: The IT Project Manager will lead the Strategic Technology Sourcing Project within a dynamic organization, ensuring the alignment of technology partnerships with strategic goals. This role involves managing multiple workstreams, adhering to governance standards, and effectively communicating with stakeholders. The position is a full-time, two-year contract based in London with a hybrid working arrangement. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in technology project management and procurement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Apply governance standards and controls throughout the project.
- Coordinate all internal aspects of the Strategic Technology Sourcing Project.
- Oversee all project stages, including procurement and transition activities.
- Work with stakeholders to establish internal reporting requirements.
- Schedule and facilitate meetings with both internal and external stakeholders.
- Ensure clarity on deliverables and timelines for all stakeholders, including IT, Finance, Procurement, Legal, and Communications.
- Maintain a risk register and develop risk mitigation plans.
- Establish governance protocols and key decision dates.
- Develop a project-specific communication plan to keep stakeholders informed.
- Present project updates to staff and senior stakeholders.
- Integrate procurement schedules with the master project programme.
- Lead Steering Committee meetings and provide visibility to the Executive Team.
- Manage multiple stakeholders and shifting priorities effectively.
Key Skills:
- Proven experience in managing technology projects from inception to closure.
- Strong background in technology procurement and understanding of the unique challenges involved.
- Financial acumen with expertise in budgetary control and detailed financial reporting.
- Proficiency in planning and schedule management using MSP.
- Ability to connect and engage key stakeholders across the organisation.
- Knowledge of governance, standards, and controls in project management.
- Experience in risk management with effective communication of risks to stakeholders.
- Strong communication skills capable of influencing at senior levels.
- Relevant qualifications such as APMP Practitioner, Prince2, or Prince Agile.
- Experience with Waterfall, Agile, and Hybrid delivery methodologies.
