Key Responsibilities:

Key Skills:

  • Proven experience delivering complex IT infrastructure projects
  • Strong understanding of project management principles and methodologies (e.g. PRINCE2)
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
  • Ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage multiple priorities
  • Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical discipline
  • Experience working within structured governance frameworks
  • Familiarity with Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid delivery models (desirable)
  • Workshop facilitation and business analysis skills (desirable)
  • Experience in public sector (desirable)

This is a great opportunity to join a public sector body in Glasgow as part of a major infrastructure programme. You’ll be helping to deliver the next-generation national network that will support over 20,000 users across 100+ sites. This organisation is investing heavily in modernising its IT estate, and this role sits at the heart of a critical programme to implement a Secure Access Service Edge (SASE) solution that will underpin secure, high-performance connectivity across the country.

Your new role

As the IT Project Manager, you’ll lead the end-to-end delivery of a complex, high-profile infrastructure project. You’ll be responsible for managing a cross-functional team of technical experts and SMEs to procure and implement the new SASE-based national network.

You’ll work within a structured governance framework, applying best-practice project management methodologies to ensure delivery on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. This is a hands-on role requiring both technical infrastructure knowledge and strong leadership and stakeholder engagement skills.
