Summary: The IT Project Manager role at a public sector organization in Edinburgh/Glasgow involves managing and delivering IT and digital projects through effective project management mechanisms. This is a hybrid role with an initial 12-month contract and the possibility of extension.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implement professional project management mechanisms and documentation for successful project delivery.
  • Facilitate sprint planning meetings and ensure team understanding of requirements and impacts.
  • Direct project team members throughout the project life cycle and engage with stakeholders and suppliers.
  • Track project plans and provide status reports to ensure transparency and progress against baseline plans.

Key Skills:

  • Qualified in project management with experience in the project life cycle.
  • Comfortable operating in both agile and waterfall environments.
  • Experienced in running sprint planning sessions and directing teams through sprints.
  • Experience delivering complex IT business projects across digital portfolios.
  • Strong communication skills to bring people together for joint outcomes.
  • Ability to engage effectively with IT and business colleagues and external partners.
  • Experience in delivering custom-built applications throughout the project life cycle.

Salary (Rate): £425
