Summary: The Data Centre Project Manager role involves leading a critical data centre exit programme, focusing on managing customer exits and coordinating with various stakeholders and third-party suppliers. This is a hybrid role based in Birmingham, requiring three days on-site work per week.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the end-to-end delivery of exiting two SCC customers from the Lyndon Court data centre.
  • Act as the lead Data Centre Project Manager, coordinating customer Project Managers and ensuring alignment to exit plans.
  • Manage and oversee third-party suppliers supporting the data centre exit activities.
  • Work closely with SCC scheduling teams to plan, sequence and deliver exit milestones.
  • Maintain clear governance, reporting, risk and issue management throughout the programme.
  • Ensure all data centre activities comply with operational, security and contractual requirements.
  • Act as the primary escalation point for delivery risks, dependencies and conflicts.
  • Drive on-site delivery activities in Birmingham, ensuring smooth coordination between all parties.

Key Skills:

  • Extensive experience as a Data Centre Project Manager delivering complex data centre projects.
  • Proven experience managing data centre exits, migrations or decommissioning activities.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, including managing customer PMs and supplier PMs.

Data Centre Project Manager - £600/day via Umbrella - 3 Month Contract - Birmingham - Hybrid (3 days onsite) - SCC Flex Contract

We are seeking an experienced Data Centre Project Manager to lead a critical data centre exit programme. This role is ideal for a Data Centre Project Manager with extensive experience managing customer exits, complex stakeholder environments and third-party suppliers within data centre operations.
The Data Centre Project Manager will be responsible for coordinating the successful exit of two SCC customers, working closely with customer Project Managers, third-party support partners and internal SCC scheduling teams.
Your responsibilities as the Data Centre Project Manager:
