Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and manage project plans with rigorous attention to budget, quality, and time criteria, reporting progress to ensure uninterrupted service and value for money.
  • Demonstrate excellent communication skills and be able to convey complex ideas/processes to non-technical audiences.
  • Support the adoption of new technology.
  • Coordinate technology changes with senior IT leaders and department heads to mitigate service impacts.
  • Adhere to, and support continual improvement in project management practices, policies, and documentation, adopting best practice developments.
  • Own and resolve issues, collaborating with wider IT teams and stakeholders as needed.
  • Strong experience in planning, managing, and delivering large IT change projects in complex, multi-disciplinary, and geographically dispersed organisations.

Key Skills:

  • Degree-educated (or equivalent practical experience).
  • Minimum Prince 2 Practitioner certification.

Celon is seeking an experienced IT Project Manager to join us on a 9-month contract, with an immediate start and the potential to extend. This is an excellent opportunity for proactive delivery-focused candidates with a minimum of 5 years’ proven experience in IT Project Management. You’ll work as an extension of our client’s teams - including some of the UK’s largest organisations – delivering a variety of system implementation projects. We’re looking for someone flexible and hands-on, who thrives in fast-paced environments and takes ownership of outcomes. You will play a key role within IT delivery teams, working collaboratively with stakeholders across organisations to drive project success, implement IT change roadmaps, and support strategic objectives. This is a critical role in ensuring our clients realise maximum value from their technology investments. The successful candidate will manage multiple concurrent projects and use project management methodologies based on PRINCE2. Projects may include the implementation of new applications (such as ITSM tools or financial data platforms), as well as supporting the rollout and adoption of new processes (for example, Payment Card solutions).
