Summary: An IT Project Manager (Finance) is sought for a 12-month fixed-term contract in Rochdale, focusing on overseeing multiple finance-related projects and supporting technology upgrades on the Civica Financials platform. The role requires proactive engagement with business needs and collaboration with ICT delivery teams. The position is hybrid, requiring 2-3 days on-site each week, and emphasizes experience in automation and project management within the public sector. The successful candidate will work alongside Analyst Project Managers to provide consultancy and implementation management services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee multiple projects within the finance service.
- Support technology changes and upgrades on the Civica Financials platform.
- Engage with the business to understand transformational needs and establish development plans.
- Document changing requirements related to ICT systems.
- Advise on ICT solution selection and support procurement of business information systems.
- Identify, plan, and manage the implementation of optimal ICT solutions.
- Work with a team of Analyst Project Managers to provide consultancy and implementation management services.
Key Skills:
- Proven experience as a Project Manager within the public sector, ideally in finance services.
- Experience with Civica Financials and upgrades on this platform.
- Strong understanding of project management principles and methodologies.
- Excellent organisational and leadership abilities.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and under pressure.
