Summary: The Programme Manager for Infrastructure & Security Delivery will lead a high-profile infrastructure transformation for a leading UK insurer, focusing on governance and delivery across various technology initiatives. This role requires extensive experience in managing large-scale programmes, particularly in the insurance sector, and involves collaboration with cross-functional teams and suppliers. The position is hybrid, based in Leeds, with a contract length of 6 months and a competitive day rate. The successful candidate will drive delivery momentum and ensure alignment among stakeholders while managing risks and dependencies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead programme-level governance, delivery oversight, and stakeholder alignment across infrastructure and security workstreams
  • Manage RAID logs, delivery planning, dependency mapping, and status reporting
  • Oversee delivery across domains such as security uplift, IAM/PAM, disaster recovery, network/server refresh, and platform transitions
  • Drive sprint cadence and coordination across technical squads and third-party partners
  • Interface with project managers, architects, product owners, and senior technology leadership
  • Embed consistent frameworks for resource planning, risk mitigation, and roadmap execution

Key Skills:

  • Proven experience delivering programmes with a total value of £20–25 million
  • Background in the insurance sector or other regulated industries (preferred)
  • Proven track record leading large-scale infrastructure programmes
  • Strong understanding of delivery across IAM, network/server upgrades, DR, and technical migrations
  • Comfortable with Agile and hybrid methodologies and working with both in-house and vendor teams
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills across CIO/COO-level and technical stakeholders
  • Hands-on approach to driving delivery momentum, managing risks, and unlocking blockers

Robert Half is supporting our consulting client on a high-profile infrastructure transformation within a leading UK insurer. We are now seeking an experienced Programme Manager to drive delivery across infrastructure and security initiatives, providing leadership, structure, and governance across cross-functional technology teams and suppliers.

Client: Global Consulting Firm

Location: Leeds

Hybrid – Remote with occasional travel to Leeds

Contract Length: 6 months (with potential to extend)

Start Date: ASAP

Day Rate: £650 per day via umbrella company
