Summary: Belmont Recruitment is seeking an IT Infrastructure Engineer for Bradford Council on a temporary contract lasting three months. The role involves providing 2nd and 3rd line support, maintaining IT systems, and collaborating with colleagues and suppliers. The position is full-time, requiring 37 hours of work per week, Monday to Friday.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide 2nd/3rd line support across infrastructure and end-user environments
  • Support, maintain and improve IT systems to meet agreed service levels
  • Investigate and resolve complex technical issues, including root cause analysis
  • Work within ITIL processes (incident, problem, change management)
  • Monitor system performance and contribute to service improvements
  • Maintain accurate service documentation and use ITSM tools effectively
  • Collaborate with colleagues and third-party suppliers to resolve issues
  • Support infrastructure projects, upgrades and implementations

Key Skills:

  • Experience working in an IT service operations or infrastructure environment
  • Proven 2nd/3rd line support experience
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Good understanding of ITIL principles and service management processes
  • Experience supporting Windows environments and Active Directory
  • Exposure to virtualisation technologies (e.g. VMware or Hyper-V)
