Summary: Belmont Recruitment is seeking an IT Infrastructure Engineer for Bradford Council on a temporary contract lasting three months. The role involves providing 2nd and 3rd line support, maintaining IT systems, and collaborating with colleagues and suppliers. The position is full-time, requiring 37 hours of work per week, Monday to Friday.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide 2nd/3rd line support across infrastructure and end-user environments
- Support, maintain and improve IT systems to meet agreed service levels
- Investigate and resolve complex technical issues, including root cause analysis
- Work within ITIL processes (incident, problem, change management)
- Monitor system performance and contribute to service improvements
- Maintain accurate service documentation and use ITSM tools effectively
- Collaborate with colleagues and third-party suppliers to resolve issues
- Support infrastructure projects, upgrades and implementations
Key Skills:
- Experience working in an IT service operations or infrastructure environment
- Proven 2nd/3rd line support experience
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Good understanding of ITIL principles and service management processes
- Experience supporting Windows environments and Active Directory
- Exposure to virtualisation technologies (e.g. VMware or Hyper-V)
