Our client is seeking a dedicated IT Field Engineer to join their team. Reporting directly to the Service Delivery Manager (SDM), you will be responsible for providing technical services to their customers. This includes installations, system upgrades, break-fix support, and other related tasks.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver services efficiently, following relevant procedures to ensure the best customer experience.
Keep customers informed of work progress with regular updates.
Provide thorough and timely reports, logging all issues and steps taken to resolve them.
Collaborate with colleagues and escalate critical technical issues promptly.
Maintain professionalism, good timekeeping, and a helpful attitude.
Ensure data security and guard against data loss.
Complete personal admin tasks, including software synchronization and mileage reporting.
Maintain boot stock levels and adhere to stock replenishment procedures.
Participate in an on-call rota for emergency fault cover and Saturday overtime for planned installs/renewals.
Essential criteria:
Strong communication and IT experience, including Microsoft server and workstation operating systems.
Knowledge of Windows operating systems, TCP/IP, and Windows networking.
MS Active Directory skills and experience with switches and routers are desirable.
Full UK driving license and enhanced DBS clearance.
Relevant technical qualifications (e.g., MTA, CCNA, Microsoft Azure, ITIL Foundation).
