Summary: The IT/ERP Project Manager role focuses on overseeing multiple Workday Payroll projects, requiring a strong background in managing complex IT initiatives, particularly in HRIS or payroll systems. The successful candidate will ensure project milestones are met, risks are managed, and stakeholder engagement is maintained. This position demands a structured approach to project management with an emphasis on timely and budget-conscious delivery. The contract is for six months and is outside IR35 regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the delivery of multiple concurrent Workday Payroll projects through their full lifecycle.
  • Develop, maintain, and track detailed project plans, timelines, and budgets.
  • Collaborate with business and technical stakeholders to define project scope, objectives, and deliverables.
  • Identify, assess, and manage project risks and issues, ensuring timely resolution.
  • Prepare and present regular status reports to leadership and key stakeholders.
  • Ensure projects adhere to internal governance standards and methodologies.
  • Coordinate with internal teams, vendors, and external partners as needed.
  • Drive stakeholder engagement, change management, and adoption strategies.
  • Champion best practices and continuous improvement in project delivery.

Key Skills:

  • Minimum of 8 years' experience managing complex IT projects across multiple sectors, preferably with a focus on HR, Payroll, or Financial systems.
  • Demonstrated experience managing projects involving Workday Payroll (highly desirable).
  • Strong understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and/or Agile methodologies.
  • Exceptional communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines in a dynamic environment.
  • Experience working with multi-disciplinary teams including business, technical, and vendor stakeholders.
  • Professional Project Management Certification (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent) – required.
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Business, or a related field (preferred).
