Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver contracted onsite IT support across the school client base, a minimum of three days per week.
- Provide remote support, reactive client visits, and project delivery for the remaining two days.
- Diagnose and resolve server failures independently, including OS, hardware, RAID, and virtualization issues.
- Manage Active Directory and Group Policy with real-world deployment and troubleshooting experience.
- Implement and manage cyber security measures, including incident response and endpoint protection.
- Administer Microsoft 365 across the full suite.
- Maintain solid networking knowledge, including VLANs, managed switches, and firewalls.
- Utilize MDM platforms such as Mosyle, Jamf, or Intune.
- Communicate complex technical issues clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
Key Skills:
- Minimum 4 years of hands-on experience in a senior IT support or systems engineer role within education.
- Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills for server and infrastructure issues.
- Proficient in Active Directory and Group Policy management.
- Hands-on experience with cyber security practices and tools.
- Confident in Microsoft 365 administration.
- Solid understanding of networking concepts and technologies.
- Experience with mobile device management platforms.
- Ability to work independently without supervision.
- Strong communication skills for explaining technical issues to non-technical users.
- Full UK driving license and access to a vehicle.
