Deployment Engineer / 2nd Line Support Engineer
We are looking for an experienced Deployment Engineer / 2nd Line Support Engineer to join an organisation based in Slough.
The role will primarily focus on PC and laptop deployment, including imaging, configuration and preparing hardware for users, alongside providing day-to-day 2nd line desktop support.
Key Responsibilities
- Imaging, building and configuring PCs and laptops
- Deploying devices to end users
- Receiving and unpacking IT equipment and hardware
- Packing and shipping equipment to locations across the UK
- Providing BAU 2nd line desktop support
- Troubleshooting desktop, hardware and application issues
- Managing and resolving support tickets using ServiceNow
- Supporting a user base of approximately 250–300 users
Skills & Experience
- Previous experience in IT deployment, desktop support or 2nd line support
- Strong PC/laptop imaging and deployment experience
- Good Windows desktop troubleshooting skills
- Experience supporting hardware and applications
- Experience working with IT ticketing systems
- ServiceNow experience would be beneficial
- Able to work 5 days per week onsite in Slough
- Ideally immediately available or able to start at short notice
