Summary: The IT Cyber Security Lead position involves managing and enhancing the cybersecurity and IT infrastructure for a leading global IT services supplier. Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage, secure, and continuously improve the organisation's IT infrastructure and cybersecurity posture.
  • Combine technical knowledge with strategic oversight across various functions including network design, endpoint protection, and incident prevention.
  • Lead the development and implementation of core infrastructure plans while ensuring compliance with cybersecurity best practices.

Key Skills:

  • Network planning, Fortinet Firewalls and switch configuration.
  • Microsoft Active Directory (design, GPOs, access control).
  • McAfee Endpoint Security, Integrity Control, EDR.
  • Veeam Backup & Recovery, HPE StoreOnce.
  • Nagios XI, Kiwi Syslog, and SIEM integration.
  • Microsoft PKI, encryption protocols (TLS/SSL).
  • Windows and Linux (RHEL) server administration and patching.
  • Device42 or similar configuration management tools.
  • Experience with flow Matrix table creation and interpretation.
  • Host-based intrusion detection and prevention (HIDS/IPS).
  • Asset life cycle and inventory management.

IT Cyber Security Lead

Our client, a leading global supplier for IT services, requires IT Cyber Security Lead to be based at their client's office in Edinburgh, UK.

This is a hybrid role, allowing remote work within the UK, with occasional onsite attendance at the Edinburgh office as and when required.

This is a 6+ month temporary contract to start ASAP

Day rate: Competitive Market rate

Key Responsibilities

  • Our client is seeking an experienced and hands-on IT and Cybersecurity Lead to manage, secure, and continuously improve their organisation's IT infrastructure and cybersecurity posture
  • This role combines deep technical knowledge with strategic oversight, covering a wide range of functions from network design and endpoint protection to encryption, access management, monitoring, and incident prevention
  • The ideal candidate will lead the development and implementation of core infrastructure plans such as the IP Plan, Identity and Access Management Plan, Patch Management Policy, and Backup & Recovery Strategy while ensuring compliance with best practices in cybersecurity, data integrity, and operational continuity
