Summary: The IT Cloud Network Engineer role focuses on defining strategies for networking within a hybrid cloud environment, enhancing service design, and improving automation and efficiency. The position requires collaboration with IT teams to ensure the delivery of scalable and cloud-ready solutions while staying informed about industry trends. The role also involves designing and developing solutions for core networking components. This is a 6-month hybrid position based in Havant, UK.

Key Responsibilities:

• Define strategy across all aspects of the networking domain, supporting the adoption of hybrid cloud as a platform, providing service design and enhancements to improve automation and efficiency.
• Define standards for adoption of Public Cloud technology and provide input into hybrid cloud architecture and roadmaps.
• Aware of industry trends and direction that are defining the future state of the enterprise network.
• Design and development of solutions to automate delivery of core networking components and peripherals.
• Work closely with peer groups ensuring Group IT deliver consistent, stable, scalable and cloud ready solutions.

Key Skills:

• Strong analytical skills and a solid understanding of all critical Production Support processes.
• Proven track record in IT Engineering, and a vision of infrastructure system architecture.
• Demonstrate an ability to work well as part of a global team, and on their own when required.
• Good communication skills.
• Ability to cope well under pressure.
• Experienced network engineer or architect qualified to CCIE level or equivalent.
• Advanced level knowledge of Routing and Switching.
• Experience of WAN circuits and solutions (ie MPLS and VPN's).
• Exposure to Zero Trust Network Architecture, SASE concepts and implementation spanning solutions such as Cato Networks, Cloudflare, Zscaler.
• Knowledge of working with Firewalling technologies (Checkpoint, Fortinet, or CISCO).
• Knowledge of Application Delivery Controllers (eg F5, Citrix).
• Network programmability and frameworks (Ansible/Python).
• Experience of Public Cloud solutions (AWS/Azure).
• Proficient level knowledge of networking design and documentation (HLD/LLD).
