Summary: An experienced IT Change Manager is sought for a 3-month interim role, focusing on the design, operation, and improvement of IT Change processes within a hybrid working environment. The position requires a high degree of autonomy and aims to ensure controlled implementation of IT changes to minimize risks to business operations. The contractor will not be responsible for line management or ongoing operational duties but will focus on effective change governance outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, operate, and continuously improve the IT Change process for specified services and initiatives.
  • Assess, authorize, and implement IT changes in a controlled manner.
  • Deliver effective change governance outcomes.

Key Skills:

  • Demonstrable experience delivering IT Change Management services in complex Enterprise environments.
  • Strong working knowledge of ITIL (Change, Release, Service Transition).
  • Proven experience chairing CABs and governing high-risk or business-critical change.
  • Ability to operate independently and apply sound professional judgement.
  • Experience using ITSM tools such as ServiceNow for change control.
  • ITIL v4 certification.
  • Experience supporting large-scale transformation or infrastructure programmes.
  • Exposure to project-based or engineering-led organisations.

IT Change Lead/Manager

3 months

£500 - £550 Per Day - Outside IR35

Location: Hybrid working with travel to Dartford, Kent as required

An experienced, UK based IT Change Manager is required on a 3 month interim basis to provide specialist IT Change Management services - taking responsibility for the design, operation, and continuous improvement of the IT Change process for an agreed scope of services and initiatives.

The contractor will operate with a high degree of autonomy, applying professional judgement to ensure that IT changes are assessed, authorised, and implemented in a controlled manner that minimises risk to business operations.

The engagement is focused on delivering effective change governance outcomes, rather than undertaking line management, people management, or ongoing BAU operational duties.

Skills and Experience

  • Demonstrable experience delivering IT Change Management services in complex Enterprise environments
  • Strong working knowledge of ITIL (Change, Release, Service Transition)
