Summary: The IT Category Manager will be responsible for developing and executing strategic sourcing strategies for IT spend categories. This role involves managing sourcing projects, vendor qualification, and contract negotiations while ensuring compliance with governance and risk management procedures. The position requires a strong background in procurement and strategic sourcing, with a focus on continuous improvement and stakeholder engagement. Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop category and sourcing strategies for higher value, higher complexity categories.
  • Manage assigned categories and the delivery of sourcing projects with associated savings and benefits.
  • Lead higher value/higher complexity sourcing projects, including supplier identification and evaluation.
  • Track supply market developments, trends, risks, and opportunities.
  • Support governance, risk, and compliance management procedures.
  • Acquire and develop expertise and knowledge for continuous improvement in allocated categories.
  • Engage with business functions to support ongoing commercial activity.

Key Skills:

  • Experience in strategic sourcing or procurement with a track record of results.
  • Understanding of procurement practices, including category spend analysis and supplier management.
  • Knowledge of compliance and regulatory requirements related to spend categories.
  • Experience in conducting procurement activities, including requirement definition and competitive bidding.
