Summary: The IT Asset Management (ITAM) Consultant role involves stabilizing and optimizing the ITAM function for a leading enterprise client. The consultant will work within a lean team to ensure compliance with CIS Controls 1 and 2 while developing a roadmap for improvement. Key Responsibilities:
- Diagnose underlying causes of existing ITAM failures.
- Deliver and embed critical short-term corrective measures.
- Execute hands-on asset lifecycle management across all hardware and software.
- Ensure daily operations are aligned with best practices.
- Review current ITAM maturity against industry standards (e.g., CIS Controls).
- Develop a prioritised improvement roadmap.
- Implement identified improvements.
- Establish performance tracking and compliance metrics.
- Upskill internal team members.

This is a hands-on, outcomes-focused role, designed for a senior ITAM expert with a proven track record in driving compliance, implementing process improvements, and embedding operational best practices. The ideal candidate will combine technical expertise with strong process thinking, stakeholder management skills, and the ability to create and deliver a prioritised roadmap for improvement. You’ll operate within a lean internal team, and your work will be critical in bringing the organisation up to full compliance with CIS Controls 1 and 2.
