Summary: The IP Test Engineer role at Flint Technology Services involves specialized expertise in IP testing, MPLS networks, and Juniper equipment. Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and coordinate internal and external vendor teams, including leading cross-functional projects where necessary.
  • Execute regression testing and upgrades for MPLS HL3 equipment in a Testbed environment.
  • Follow Test Strategies, develop Test Plans and Test Criteria, and ensure all risks are identified and mitigated.
  • Troubleshoot complex IP network issues, liaise with vendors to resolve problems, and communicate progress clearly to project teams.
  • Manage faults according to the client Fault Management Process and report performance against departmental KPIs.
  • Prioritize and manage multiple test activities, adjusting to changing requirements as needed.
  • Document testing services to a high standard using Java tools where applicable.
  • Ensure non-compliant TSA measures do not progress into live networks.

Key Skills:

  • Strong understanding of Project Management methodologies.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Self-motivated, able to work independently with minimal guidance and meet tight deadlines.
  • Collaborative team player with leadership capability when required.
  • Experience using Spirent Test Centre, IXIA, Wireshark, or similar IP packet generation and tracing tools.
  • In-depth knowledge of Cisco, Juniper, Ethernet Switches, IP protocols, MPLS/VPN, and IP security technologies.
  • Ability to analyze technical documentation and develop clear test strategies.
  • Cisco CCNP accreditation (or equivalent experience).
  • Strong knowledge of GSM, GPRS, UMTS, and LTE principles.
  • Hands-on experience with LAN, WAN, MAN, and SAN networks.
