Summary: The IP Engineer role focuses on supporting a major broadcast infrastructure and site exit programme, primarily in the network and transport layer for broadcast and video delivery services. The engineer will be responsible for the design, build, and migration of network infrastructure to ensure reliable service delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the design, build, and migration of network infrastructure.
- Ensure reliable transport of broadcast and video services across IP-based environments.
- Participate in infrastructure migrations, decommissioning, or transformation programmes.
- Provide troubleshooting and performance optimisation for network services.
- Support end-to-end delivery from discovery through to service transition.
Key Skills:
- Strong background in network engineering within broadcast, telecoms, or media environments.
- Experience with IP routing and switching (BGP, OSPF, multicast, VLANs).
- Understanding of video transport over IP (MPEG-TS, SRT, RTP, HLS, DASH).
- Experience supporting broadcast or media delivery networks.
- Exposure to cloud networking (AWS, Azure) desirable.
- Strong troubleshooting and performance optimisation capability.

Assignment Details
- Initial Duration: 3–6 months (with likely extension)
- Location: Primarily remote with occasional travel to Hampshire
- Day Rate: £400–£450 p/day via PAYE (+12.07% holiday pay)
