Summary: The IoT Product Manager will lead the development and management of IoT products within the AO Digital Team, ensuring alignment with customer needs and financial objectives. This role involves overseeing the entire product lifecycle, collaborating with stakeholders, and enhancing the existing IoT platform. The position requires a strong understanding of IoT technologies and the ability to drive innovation while managing a team of professionals. The role is hybrid, requiring 2 to 3 days a week in the office located in Warwick, UK.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the full product lifecycle for IoT Platform and features, ensuring alignment with customer needs and financial objectives.
- Act as the owner and champion for IoT products, prioritising product requirements and maintaining the product backlog.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather insights and feedback, translating customer needs into actionable product propositions.
- Coordinate product trials and launches, providing support for communications and training.
- Develop financial plans and forecasts, monitoring expenditure and ensuring effective use of resources.
- Lead a team of product owners and managers, fostering a collaborative environment and driving performance.
- Implement change management strategies to facilitate smooth transitions and improvements within the team and product offerings.
- Stay abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies in the IoT space, particularly in utilities.

- Ability to translate technical concepts into clear business and customer value propositions.
- Familiarity with IoT protocols (MQTT, CoAP, HTTP), cloud platforms (Azure IoT Hub, AWS IoT Core, GCP IoT), data & analytics, dashboards, and APIs, edge computing and OTA updates.
- Good understanding of cybersecurity principles for IoT.
