Summary: The iOS Mobile Principal Engineer will design and develop high-performance iOS applications while mentoring a team of engineers and advocating for best practices in coding and design. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams, optimizing performance, and integrating with various APIs. The engineer will also stay updated on emerging technologies and contribute to the product roadmap. Experience in e-commerce and cloud platforms is advantageous.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, architect, and develop scalable iOS applications for mission-critical digital experiences.
- Engage with external interfaces and APIs to enhance mobile capabilities.
- Mentor engineers on best practices, design patterns, and coding standards.
- Drive a culture of quality and innovation through Extreme Programming methodologies.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and participate in Agile processes and code reviews.
- Utilize debugging and performance optimization techniques to resolve complex issues.
- Work with cloud platforms, preferably Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
- Evaluate emerging technologies for potential inclusion in product development.
- Champion continuous improvement, performance optimization, and security throughout the development lifecycle.
Key Skills:
- Extensive hands-on experience in iOS development with expertise in Swift, SwiftUI, and UIKit.
- Strong experience integrating with RESTful and GraphQL APIs.
- Proven technical decision-making skills and ability to guide teams in best practices.
- Strong leadership and mentoring abilities.
- Experience in Quick Service Restaurant (QSR), Retail, or E-commerce industries is a plus.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
- Passion for automation tested code and high standards for code quality.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to thrive in a dynamic environment.
