Summary: The iOS Mobile Engineer role at JP Morgan in Glasgow involves developing mobile applications using Swift, Swift UI, and Objective C. The role is integral to the Wholesale Credit Risk Technology team, focusing on delivering secure and scalable technology solutions. This is a full-time, on-site position for an initial 6-month contract.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop mobile applications for JP Morgan apps using Swift, Swift UI, and Objective C
- Optimise applications for various mobile screen sizes, including iPad and iPhone
- Collaborate with UX designers on rapid prototypes of new concepts and features
- Optimise mobile applications for speed, reliability, and scalability while promoting Agile practices
- Research new technologies and provide technical guidance across the organisation
- Support excellent user experience and system performance through SRE practices
Key Skills:
- Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts
- Proficient in mobile development frameworks including iOS Swift and Objective C
- Strong understanding of iOS design patterns (MVVMC, MVP, MVC, MVVM, VIPER)
- Understanding of native features like Biometrics, Camera, and GPS
- Experience in securing applications and addressing security vulnerabilities
- Experience in API integration and using XCode for iOS development
- Experience in building responsive apps for various iOS devices
- Experience in implementing complex mobile front-end solutions and automated testing
- Excellent interpersonal, analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
