Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain native iOS features using Swift, SwiftUI and UIKit.
- Build backend-driven UI solutions powered by modern API layers (GraphQL and TypeScript integration).
- Implement end-to-end features, from breaking down complex problem statements to technical design, deployment and testing.
- Work collaboratively across cross-functional product, design and backend engineering teams.
- Ensure high application stability and performance via strong unit testing, observability and debugging practices.
- Senior Engineers: Drive technical design autonomously, define technical requirements and solve open-ended problem statements with minimal supervision.
Requirements
- iOS Development: Strong proficiency in Swift, SwiftUI, UIKit, and modern architecture patterns.
- API Integration: Experience with REST and GraphQL APIs.
- Backend-Driven UI: Familiarity with or openness to working with backend-driven UI frameworks (using TypeScript).
- Engineering Standards: Experience with Xcode, CI/CD, unit testing and production debugging/observability tools (e.g., Datadog, Grafana, Firebase).
- Delivery & Ownership: Ability to jump into large, existing codebases and become productive quickly.
- Advanced usage of modern AI tooling (Claude, Codex) is a strong plus.
- Communication: Clear verbal and written English skills for seamless cross-team collaboration.
Role-Specific Hiring Needs
- Senior iOS Engineer (x2): £600-£730pd. Must demonstrate high technical autonomy and quick onboarding into new team structures.
- Core iOS Engineer (x2): £500-£600pd. Strong solid feature-delivery capabilities.
- Junior iOS Engineer (x1): £350-£500pd. Entry/Junior level candidate with solid core iOS fundamentals and an understanding of GraphQL/TypeScript concepts (full framework training provided on onboarding).
