Summary: The role is for a Mid-Level iOS Engineer with a focus on iOS development using Swift, alongside contributions to a Python backend. The candidate should have a solid understanding of both UIKit and SwiftUI, and be familiar with secure development practices. Strong communication skills in English are essential, as the role involves collaboration in stand-ups and code reviews. Key Responsibilities:

Mid-Level iOS Engineer (with Python Backend Contributions)
Must-Have Requirements:
- iOS / Swift core 3+ years professional iOS development
- Solid with both UIKit and SwiftUI
- Swift Package Manager
- Engineering discipline
- Writes tests as a default
- Works cleanly in a linted/formatted codebase with CI/CD workflows
- Reads existing components/docs before building new ones; follows a token-based design system rather than hardcoding styles

Backend (Python — secondary, ~10–20%):
- Comfortable making small-to-medium changes in a Python REST backend (Flask/Django-style): endpoints, request/response payloads, simple data flows
- Understands REST API integration from both sides (client + server contract)

- Strong async written communication (PR descriptions, docs)
- Reasonable overlap with our working hours (most Pacific - Eastern US timezones)

- CoreBluetooth / BLE experience — we drive a custom-protocol hardware device (scanning, provisioning, characteristic read/write/notify)
- TrueDepth / AVFoundation / Vision or camera-pipeline experience
- Linear and Sentry experience
- Analytics (PostHog / Mixpanel / CustomerIO )
- Experience working against a backend you don't fully own (handling schema drift gracefully)
