Summary: The Inventory Support Administrator role in Erskine, Scotland, involves providing operational support in inventory management, document control, and vendor operations. Key Responsibilities:
- Assess inventory and generate reports to identify aged WIP (Work in Progress) inventory
- Collaborate with delivery leads and inventory controllers to prioritize and coordinate investigations
- Investigate and resolve blockages preventing inventory movement
- Support day-to-day inventory operations and ensure data accuracy
- Compile monthly recycle forecasts for Finance
- Monitor inventory batch jobs and resolve processing issues
- Run and reconcile inventory discrepancy journals to correct sync errors
- Identify and escalate systemic issues, working with IT support where needed
- Assist with the administration of the document control system (SharePoint)
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records and documentation
- Prepare for and participate in internal and customer audits
- Ensure compliance with documentation standards and processes
- Provide backup support for vendor operations processes
- Respond to vendor and internal queries
- Process buyouts and vendor transactions
- Coordinate vendor recycling consignments
- Maintain accurate records and documentation for vendor activities
Key Skills:
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Experience in inventory management, operations, or supply chain support
- Familiarity with reporting and data analysis (e.g., Excel or similar tools)
- Experience working with document control systems (e.g., SharePoint)
- Ability to investigate issues and coordinate resolutions across teams
- Strong communication and stakeholder coordination skills
- Comfortable working in a fully onsite environment (5 days per week in Erskine)
- Experience supporting audits and compliance processes (preferred)
- Exposure to ERP or inventory management systems (preferred)
