Summary: The Internal Control and Compliance Analyst is responsible for overseeing internal controls, conducting contract analysis, and coordinating audits within the organization. This role requires collaboration with various stakeholders to enhance compliance and operational efficiency. The analyst will also provide guidance on accounting practices and contribute to project management efforts. A strong background in business administration, accounting, or finance is essential for success in this position.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify control failures or weaknesses and collaborate with process owners to implement control improvements.
- Owns DOA process and maintains OE documentation.
- Contributes effectively with DOA expertise and advice on a daily basis.
- Provide contract reasonability and analytical cost review.
- Perform non-standard contract language review.
- Perform a complex contract/amendments review details for compliance with CLIENT terms and conditions related to finance.
- Assist in the coordination with external financial audits, including liaising with the Ministry of Finance and statutory auditors.
- Develop and apply reports to enable the continuous monitoring of the business compliance performance of CLIENT.
- Assist in working with the CLIENT Fiscal Board on business-related matters.
- Utilizes detailed knowledge of work group systems capabilities and functions as a key contributor on projects.
- Provides work direction to teams responsible for resolving system and/or work process problems.
- Exhibits well-grounded understanding and application of company, industry, or regulatory principles.
- Provides accounting guidance and makes recommendations for handling non-standard and complex transactions.
- Solves problems that require an approach developed from diverse alternatives and precedents.
- May develop non-standard reports and statements requiring in-depth analysis and commentary.
Key Skills:
- Degree in Business Administration, Business Management, Accounting, or Finance.
- University (Bachelor, Undergraduate, CPA, MBA or equivalent).
- 3 to 7 years of work experience in Business Administration, Business Management, Accounting, or Finance.
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in managing risk and compliance in the oil and gas sector.
- Strong analytical and project management skills.
- Fluent in applying tools, techniques, and business knowledge to audits.

- Assist in working with the CLIENT Fiscal Board on business related matters, including regular meetings on quarterly basis.

- Utilizes detailed knowledge of work group systems capabilities and functions as a key contributor on projects dealing with development and implementation of enhancements.
- Provides work direction to teams responsible for resolving system and/or work process problems.
• Accounting & Business Proficiency
- Exhibits well-grounded understanding and application of company, industry, or regulatory principles and rules of action to prepare financial analyses, reports (including commentary), and recommendations involving changes to procedures or reporting requirements.
- Provides accounting guidance and makes recommendations for handling non-standard and complex transactions incorporating knowledge of Chevron and industry policies and procedures
• Analytical & Project Management Skills

Educational qualifications or equivalent experience
- Degree in the fields of Business Administration, Business Management, Accounting or Finance.
- University (Bachelor, Undergraduate, CPA, MBA or equivalent). Bachelor’s Degree on Finance, Accounting, Auditing
Experience
- 3 to 7 Years of work experience is preferable, in the fields of Business Administration, Business Management, Accounting or Finance, having a University Degree (Bachelor, Undergraduate) in those same fields.
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in managing risk and compliance department in oil and gas sector.
