Summary: The Internal Communications Lead will oversee the company's internal communications strategy during a 12-month maternity cover contract. This role involves creating and distributing content, managing digital platforms, and organizing employee engagement events to foster a transparent and unified culture. The successful candidate will work closely with the Head of Marketing and Communications to ensure alignment with company objectives and values.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the implementation of the internal communications strategy.
  • Create and distribute informative content including newsletters, emails, and announcements.
  • Ensure message consistency between internal and external communications.
  • Oversee the company intranet and manage posting schedules.
  • Organize employee engagement events such as town hall meetings and Q&A sessions.
  • Implement crisis communication plans to support staff during periods of uncertainty.
  • Monitor staff feedback and adjust communications accordingly.
  • Provide communication support and coaching to executive leadership.

Key Skills:

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in internal communications.
  • Experience in a military/defence/airline environment is advantageous.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Proficiency in design tools such as PowerPoint and Canva.

Salary (Rate): £350
