Summary: The Internal Audit Manager will play a pivotal role in driving the internal assurance strategy for the organization during a one-year fixed-term maternity cover. This position involves collaborating with the Head of Internal Audit & Risk to enhance governance, risk management, and control frameworks while providing insights to the Audit Committee and Board. The role requires leading audits, supporting risk management, and mentoring junior team members to foster a culture of transparency and accountability.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the Head of Internal Audit & Risk to design and implement an annual internal audit plan.
- Lead the annual Material Control Assurance Programme and support the Board’s statement on material controls.
- Perform thorough testing of material control design and effectiveness.
- Lead audits from planning to reporting, delivering findings to management and stakeholders.
- Drive the evolution of Internal Audit methodology for process enhancement.
- Facilitate the Group’s Enterprise Risk Management Framework and track risk updates.
- Ensure efficient use of Risk Management, Internal Control, and Audit software.
- Build collaborative relationships across functions to promote transparency and accountability.
- Mentor and guide junior team members in their professional development.
- Assist the Head of Internal Audit & Risk with formal reporting to the Audit Committee.
