Summary: The Internal Audit Manager will independently oversee the complete delivery of various audits and assurance activities, ensuring compliance with the Internal Audit Methodology. This role involves leading audit engagements, preparing high-quality reports, and effectively communicating findings to stakeholders. The position is based in a well-known financial services organization in Leeds, focusing on providing assurance and added value to the organization. Key Responsibilities:
- Independently manage the end-to-end planning and execution of internal audit engagements.
- Conduct audit engagements in compliance with the IAS Internal Audit Methodology.
- Document work undertaken in a structured and clear manner for External Quality Assessment.
- Propose the scope and key risk areas for focus during audits.
- Prepare and present high-quality outputs, including audit reports and closing meeting slides.
- Communicate key messages effectively to a range of stakeholders.
Key Skills:
- Membership in the Chartered Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA) or CCAB qualification (e.g., ACA).
- Significant experience in conducting end-to-end internal audit engagements independently.
- Experience in strategic, financial, operational, and compliance audits.
- Knowledge of IIA standards.
- Experience in financial services and/or public sector is advantageous.
- Prior experience in a start-up environment is a plus.
