We're looking for a passionate and enthusiastic Audit Manager to join our team facing into model risk. This is an exciting high-profile opportunity to deliver independent assurance and opinion on a key strategic priority for the Bank. The TSB Internal Audit team has c.50 colleagues based across London, Edinburgh and Barnwood. As an integral part of the team, you’ll forge excellent relationships with senior stakeholders, developing a great understanding of their business and provide them with valuable insight on their governance, risk management and control environment.

How You’ll Make a Difference

The Audit Manager is responsible for leading large and complex audits, maintaining good quality, time, and budget standards. You will make a difference in your role by contributing to the strategic thinking and direction of the audit team and play an important role in shaping the audit plan.

What You’ll Bring

  • Prior experience of leading assurance work, preferably within financial services.
  • The ability to comfortably work with quantitative topics such as data analysis and statistics.
  • An understanding of the key risks and controls throughout the model lifecycle including data, development, implementation, monitoring, and model use would be beneficial.
  • Existing knowledge, or a willingness to learn about, regulatory requirements for model risk management, credit risk models (IRB and IFRS9), forecasting and stress testing models.
  • A critical thinker who can positively influence others to think differently.
  • A collaborative team player with a growth mindset and an appetite to learn and develop.
  • Strong planning and organisational skills, proven ability to deliver to timelines, experience with managing, prioritising, and delivering multiple tasks.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and experience of delivering potentially challenging messages to Senior Management.
  • Attention to detail is a key skill required to be successful in this role.
  • Strong internal and external stakeholder management and influencing skills.
  • Experience of using SAS as well as Agile project management principles would also be beneficial.
