Key Responsibilities:
- Leading on year-end reporting and preparing statutory accounts in line with charity SORP.
- Acting as primary contact for external auditors, ensuring a smooth and timely audit process.
- Supporting the Finance Director across technical accounting, compliance and transformation activity.
- Overseeing the financial operations team and ensuring robust month-end controls.
- Providing expert advice on reporting improvements and financial best practice during a period of organisational change.
- Supporting ongoing transformation work within finance and contributing to future-state planning.
Key Skills:
- Be a qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent).
- Have strong technical experience of charity year-end and reporting under SORP.
- Be confident managing audits and liaising with external auditors.
- Bring excellent communication skills and the ability to work with finance and non-finance colleagues.
- Be comfortable working in a changing environment where processes and structures are evolving.
- Be available for a 6-month contract and able to attend the London office once per week.

As the organisation rebuilds and strengthens its finance function, this position will play a crucial role in ensuring a smooth and well-managed year-end process alongside offering vital support to the Finance Director.
