Summary: The role of Interim UK Student Recruitment Consultant involves leading the development and execution of a comprehensive UK Home student recruitment strategy for a London university. The consultant will collaborate closely with the Director of Student Recruitment and Admissions to enhance recruitment activities and address strategic gaps. This position requires a strong understanding of the UK higher education landscape and experience in managing complex stakeholder projects. The contract is expected to last approximately 8 months, starting in November.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the development and delivery of an integrated UK Home student recruitment strategy.
- Collaborate with the Director of Student Recruitment and Admissions.
- Identify and address strategic gaps in current recruitment activities.
- Review critical levers for sustainable growth in the domestic market.
- Translate market insight and data into actionable strategies and measurable growth.
- Conduct portfolio analysis and product development for flexible, modular, and blended learning.

The Role
We are working with a London university that is seeking an experienced higher education consultant to lead the development and delivery of an integrated UK Home student recruitment strategy. Working closely with the Director of Student Recruitment and Admissions, the consultant will take an in-depth approach to expanding current activity, identifying and addressing strategic gaps and reviewing the critical levers for sustainable growth in the domestic market.
The Candidate
Proven track record in UK higher education recruitment strategy development and delivery, ideally within a multi-entry-point admissions model. Strong understanding of UK student recruitment markets, policy context, and the competitive landscape, including FE progression, access routes, and lifelong learning trends. Experience leading cross-institutional strategic projects in complex stakeholder environments. Demonstrated ability to translate market insight and data into actionable strategy and measurable growth. Expertise in portfolio analysis and product development, including approaches to flexible, modular, and blended learning.
