Summary: The role of Interim Technical Accountant within Grant Thornton's Agile Talent Community involves providing on-demand financial accounting services to clients across various industries. The position allows for flexible project-based work, either on-site or remotely, while collaborating with client finance teams. Candidates will be expected to have significant experience in financial accounting and reporting, particularly in larger organizations. This role offers the opportunity to work independently through a limited company or on inside IR35 terms.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide interim finance services and project-focused accounting support to clients.
- Collaborate with client finance teams on-site or remotely.
- Prepare half and full-year-end accounts and manage audit liaison.
- Consolidate group accounts and handle intercompany accounting.
- Ensure financial reporting compliance under IFRS, UK GAAP, US GAAP, or international GAAP.
- Prepare year-end statutory accounts and manage audits.
Key Skills:
- Fully qualified member of a professional accounting body (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).
- Experience as Financial Controller/Group FC or Financial Director/Group FD.
- Background in companies with an annual turnover of over £50m, preferably within a listed FTSE business.
- Proficient in financial reporting and management accounts preparation.
- Experience in group accounts consolidation and intercompany accounting.
