Summary: The role of Systems Accountant focuses on supporting a major integration program for a leading international hospitality business following multiple acquisitions. This hands-on position requires expertise in data migration, SAP, and integration, working closely with internal teams. The contract is for six months and is hybrid in nature, requiring immediate availability. The role is classified as inside IR35 and offers a competitive daily rate.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead on financial data migration activities, including reviewing, validating, and resolving posting entries across General Ledger, Fixed Assets, Leases, and Accounts Receivable invoices.
  • Review master data requirements and oversee the data set-up process to ensure accuracy.
  • Testing of SAP configuration changes required for the integration.
  • Manage fixed asset accounting related to project capex financial control (e.g., laptops and IT equipment), ensuring costs are correctly capitalised and assets are allocated to the appropriate users' cost centres.
  • Provide post-integration SAP support to acquisition finance teams.
  • Ensure a smooth hand-off of processes across integration partners and internal teams.
  • Monitor legacy bank account transactions immediately post-integration, ensuring they are accurately reflected in SAP and matched with opening liabilities.
  • Contribute to other integration and finance transformation activities as required to support the wider programme team.

Key Skills:

  • Qualified Chartered Accountant (ACA / ACCA).
  • Strong experience in project-based accounting work, particularly data migration, finance transformation and/or system integration projects.
  • SAP experience (including testing, configuration support, or data migration).
  • Strong attention to detail with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • A self-starter who is comfortable working independently in a fast-paced project environment.

Altum Consulting is partnering with a leading international hospitality business to recruit a Systems Accountant to support a major integration programme following multiple acquisitions. This is a hands-on technical accounting role requiring strong data migration, SAP and integration experience, working closely with internal teams.
