The Role
As Interim Supply Chain Manager, you will take responsibility for the full supply chain function, ensuring materials, components, and stock are managed efficiently to support production and customer demand.
You'll work closely with procurement, planning, and operations teams to drive continuous improvement and maintain robust supplier relationships throughout the engagement.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the day-to-day supply chain operation, including procurement, planning, and inventory control
- Develop and maintain strong supplier relationships, ensuring performance, quality, and delivery standards are met
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce cost across the supply chain
- Manage stock levels effectively, balancing customer demand with working capital objectives
- Provide clear reporting and analysis to senior stakeholders on supply chain performance
- Support and manage a small team, ensuring clear direction and accountability
- Work cross-functionally with production, engineering, and commercial teams to align supply chain activity with wider business objectives
About You
- Proven experience in a Supply Chain Manager or similar senior supply chain role, ideally within an engineering or manufacturing environment
- Strong background in procurement, planning, and inventory management
- Comfortable working in an interim capacity, able to add value quickly and hit the ground running
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
- Experience using ERP/MRP systems
