Summary: An interim Senior IT Procurement Manager is sought to lead the IT sourcing function within a major financial services organization in London. The position requires engagement with senior stakeholders to promote procurement excellence and deliver value through strategic initiatives. The role is hybrid, requiring two days per week onsite.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing IT Sourcing team.
  • Deliver strategic procurement leadership and value creation through expert market insight.
  • Define and implement global IT procurement strategies to ensure cost efficiency, continuity of supply, and vendor performance.
  • Support and influence group-wide IT transformation programmes.
  • Manage supplier performance, compliance, and risk across key IT vendors.
  • Engage and influence senior stakeholders (VPs, Directors, Board members) to champion procurement excellence.

Key Skills:

  • Proven track record of delivering commercial impact in IT Procurement and Strategic Sourcing within complex FTSE 100 or similar organisations.
  • Strong category knowledge across all IT domains.
  • Financial Services experience (highly beneficial).
  • People management experience essential.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • Degree, MCIPS, or ITIL qualifications preferred but not essential.

Interim Senior IT Procurement Manager – Financial Services Major

Location: London (Hybrid – 2 days per week onsite)

Rate: £750 per day (Inside IR35)

An interim opportunity has arisen for an experienced Senior IT Procurement Manager to lead and elevate the IT sourcing function within a major financial services organisation. This is a hands-on leadership role, responsible for driving strategic IT procurement across all subcategories (Software, Infrastructure, Telecoms, Hardware, etc.) and managing a small team of two.

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing IT Sourcing team.
  • Deliver strategic procurement leadership and value creation through expert market insight.
