Summary: The role of Interim Senior IT Audit & Compliance Lead involves overseeing group-wide audit, assurance, and certification activities for a leading infrastructure company. This position requires ensuring compliance with key global standards such as SOC 2 Type 2 and ISO certifications while managing integrated management systems across international operations. The individual will lead audit programs, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and act as the primary contact for external assessors and stakeholders. Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the Group Audit Programme, preparing multidisciplinary teams for internal and external audits across multiple sites and regions.
- Maintain compliance with ISO 9001, 14001, 45001, 27001, 50001, 23001 and SOC 2 Type 2 standards, ensuring all accreditations remain active and audit-ready.
- Develop and enhance the integrated management systems across the business, embedding best practice in data centre operations, governance, and risk management.
- Drive the creation, assignment, and closure of audit improvement plans following internal and external reviews.
- Partner with cross-functional global teams to identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
- Act as the key point of contact for external assessors, accreditation bodies, and senior stakeholders.
- Oversee the audit budget and ensure effective allocation of external consultancy and auditing resources.
Key Skills:
- Lead Auditor qualification with demonstrable experience managing integrated audit programmes across multiple ISO standards and SOC 2 frameworks.
- Strong background in infrastructure heavy environments.
- Track record in business assurance, quality management, or IT governance at group or global level.
