Summary: The role of Senior Finance Business Partner involves partnering with the IT department to manage and report on costs, including Capex and project expenses, within a global professional services business. This position requires influencing senior stakeholders and providing commercial insights while overseeing project tracking and financial reporting. The successful candidate will work within a high-performing finance team on a fixed-term contract for 12 months, with hybrid working arrangements. The role is based in Sheffield, with potential flexibility to work from Leeds or Manchester.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Influencing senior stakeholders and acting as a trusted advisor by providing commercial insights and challenges to cost plans.
  • Overseeing project tracking, KPIs, and Capex.
  • Presenting monthly MI and commentary to Service Directors, highlighting budget progress and emerging issues.
  • Preparing and reviewing headcount data with commentary on variances.
  • Collaborating with the Costs Senior BP to ensure consistent and insightful reporting across service areas.
  • Conducting ad-hoc analysis, reporting, and modelling on various costs.
  • Analysing costs to identify trends and working with the Senior Finance BP - Costs to implement changes.

Key Skills:

  • ACCA / ACA / CIMA qualified with 3 years post qualification experience.
  • Excellent analysis and financial modelling skills.
  • Experience in project tracking and Capex modelling.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to effectively communicate the finance perspective.

Salary (Rate): 78000
