Summary: The role of Senior Finance Analyst is a 3-month contract position based in St Albans, Hertfordshire, focused on supporting financial planning and analysis. The successful candidate will be responsible for budget development, monthly reporting, financial analysis, and ensuring compliance with financial controls. This position requires strong analytical skills and proficiency in financial systems. The role offers a hybrid working arrangement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supporting the development of budgets, forecasts, and long-term financial plans
- Delivering accurate monthly reporting, including management accounts, variance analysis, and KPIs
- Conducting financial analysis to inform strategic decisions, improve profitability, and identify cost-saving opportunities
- Providing financial input for investment appraisals, including modelling, scenario planning, and risk assessment
- Ensuring compliance with financial controls and support audit activities
- Optimising reporting tools and dashboards in partnership with wider teams
- Driving continuous improvement and standardisation in FP&A processes
Key Skills:
- ACCA/CIMA/ACA qualifications or equivalent
- Proven track record in FP&A, business partnering or management accounting
- Strong knowledge of Excel and financial systems, including SAP and Power BI is desirable
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Strong analytical mindset
