Summary: The role of Interim Revenue Recognition Manager involves leading strategic and operational aspects of revenue recognition for an international SAAS client, particularly in preparation for an upcoming audit. The position requires collaboration with various internal stakeholders and oversight of month-end close processes, revenue analysis, and compliance with accounting standards. The successful candidate will also provide technical guidance and mentor team members. This is a critical role that reports directly to the Director of Revenue Recognition.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with Sales, Sales Operations, and Legal during contract negotiations to ensure proper revenue recognition in line with accounting standards
- Perform in-depth reviews of contracts and document key terms, particularly non-standard clauses impacting revenue recognition
- Own and execute month-end close processes related to revenue and deferred revenue, including account reconciliations and variance analysis
- Provide detailed revenue analysis at customer and product levels using tools such as NetSuite, Power BI, and internal reporting platforms
- Build and maintain effective controls to ensure timely identification and resolution of revenue-related issues
- Partner with FP&A to ensure forecasts incorporate up-to-date revenue insights
- Support annual external audits by preparing relevant documentation and addressing auditor queries
- Offer technical guidance under ASC 606 and/or IFRS 15
- Lead and mentor revenue team members, ensuring continuous development and high performance
- Manage special projects and ad hoc requests as required
Key Skills:
- Fully qualified accountant with Audit experience
- Strong technical accounting knowledge, particularly in ASC 606 or IFRS 15
- Previous experience with NetSuite
- SAAS experience would be beneficial

Global Accounting Network are partnering exclusively with an international SAAS client looking for an interim Senior Manager within their Revenue Recognition division. This is a crucial position within the organisation as they prepare for the audit over the next 6 months. This position reports directly to the Director of Revenue Recognition and will lead both strategic and operational aspects of revenue recognition, working closely with Sales, Legal, FP&A, and other internal stakeholders.

About You:
- Fully qualified accountant with Audit experience
